In the book Southern horrors, Ida B. Wells talks about lynching and many other interesting stuff that happened during the past in the United States. Some examples are "Emancipation", "Rustabout" and "Nigger teachers".
Emancipation is when someone is freed from someone else's control and in this text from Ida B. Wells we see a lot of this. We see Emancipation when the African American people were freed from their owners and were finally able to live on their own. The Emancipation also caused lost of interest from the white people into Negro's as they had no right to beat them up or to force them to do stuff, and had less the right to kill them.
